We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Network and Security Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to manage and maintain our organization’s network and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of both wired and wireless networks, managing internet connectivity, and addressing IT security incidents and threats. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong technical background and problem-solving mindset.
Sr. Associate System Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Network Infrastructure Management Must have experience in Cisco Miraki. Manage and maintain the wireless infrastructure, including wireless controllers and Access Points (APs). Oversee internet connectivity through multiple leased lines (3 lines) and ensure optimal traffic load balancing. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain and document network configurations, including IP addressing and VLAN setups.
- 2. Firewall and Security Management Must have experience in Sophos Firewall. Configure, manage, and update firewall policies to ensure network security. Handle VPN setups and user access management. Regularly update and monitor firewall firmware to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
- 3. Endpoint Security and Antivirus Management Must have experience in Bitdefender or similar. Manage antivirus server installations and ensure deployment of agents across all endpoints. Enforce endpoint security policies, including USB port restrictions and system-level password management. Implement and oversee patch management schedules for all devices.
- 4. IT Security Incident Management Monitor, analyze, and respond to IT security incidents and threats. Maintain an incident management tracker and generate reports for review. Stay updated on threat intelligence and conduct periodic security audits.
- 5. Documentation and Compliance Prepare and update network diagrams and security documentation. Maintain a record of firewall policies, VPN configurations, and change logs. Ensure adherence to organizational IT security policies and regulatory requirements.
- 6. Disaster Recovery and Support Develop and periodically test the disaster recovery (DR) plan. Document backup and recovery procedures, ensuring alignment with data retention policies. Act as a point of escalation for network and security-related issues.
- Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT network and security management. Strong knowledge of wireless infrastructure, including controllers and Access Points. Experience managing multiple leased lines and implementing load balancing solutions. Proficiency in firewall configuration and management (e.g., Sophos) Hands-on experience with antivirus servers and endpoint security tools. Familiarity with IT security incident response and threat management processes. Solid understanding of network protocols, VLANs, and IP addressing. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
